Cook County Democratic Party Endorses Obama

  CHICAGO, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cook County Democratic Party today endorsed U.S. Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois for president in the February 5 primary, praising his leadership and strong voice for change in America.Joseph Berrios, chairman of the Cook County Democratic Party, said the endorsement was made after a special polling of the ward and township committeemen."We are proud and privileged to endorse Senator Barack Obama for president.
